Do I need a base coat under Clear All-in-One BIAB™?

No, this clear soak-off gel serves as a base (and top coat), so no additional base coat is required. 

How do I apply the clear builder gel?

Applying this clear gel polish is a five-step process:

1. Prep the nails by cleaning, pushing back cuticles, filing, gently buffing, and dehydrating the nail plate.
2. Apply an even coat of the clear gel polish, and cure with TGB Light the Way Nail Lamp for 99 seconds on low-heat mode.
3. Apply a medium bead of All-in-One BIAB, spreading side to side and dragging away from the cuticle, then sealing the free edge. Build and cure with the Light the Way Nail Lamp one nail at a time for 99 seconds on low-heat mode. 
4. Apply a thin layer of your chosen top coat like TGB Extreme Shine Top Coat, Glazed Top Coat, or Matte Top Coat, then cure with the Light the Way Nail Lamp for 99 seconds on low-heat mode.
5. Wipe off the tacky layer with isopropyl alcohol, refine the nail with a 120/180 file if necessary, and buff it into shape with a 100/180 buffer. Remove any dust with our Dusting Brush.

What is clear gel polish used for?

Clear gel nail polish is used to add a layer of shine to the natural nail. TGB clear builder gel can be used as a base coat under other BIABs, stand on its own for a layer of shine, or be used as a protective top coat to prevent chipping or peeling. 

Is the clear builder gel cruelty-free?

Yes! Our Clear BIAB is vegan and cruelty-free. Our builder gels do not use animal byproducts or testing, and all our products are Leaping Bunny Certified. This is great to have in your salon or nail tech kit for clients who only use vegan gel polish. 

How long does the clear builder gel bottle last? 

The clear soak-off gel in the 20ml bottle can last for 25 to 65 sets, depending on the nail and extension length and how many layers it is used for. The estimation is based on whether the clear BIAB was used as the builder gel rather than the base coat or top coat. 

Can I use the Clear All-in-One gel polish on natural nails or tips?

Both! The clear gel polish works beautifully on overlays, tips, and natural nails. It even works to strengthen and protect your nails. This is done by reinforcing the nails with hard, durable layers of gel.

Does Clear BIAB have HEMA?

Our Clear All-in-One BIAB contains 50% less HEMA, which means no heat spikes while maintaining the same self-leveling, super strong results as our original BIAB formula offers.

How do I remove clear builder gel polish?

Removing clear gel polish is a six-step process:

• Start by cleaning the nails thoroughly.
• Use the TGB E-File (if trained) or a 120/180 grit file to reduce the length.
• File off the TGB top coat using a 120/180 grit file until the shine is gone.
• Soak TGB Lint-Free Wipes in 100% acetone, and wrap nails in foil or TGB nail clips for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Remove the foil or nail clip from one nail at a time, and scrape off the gel before starting the next nail. If it is still hard, allow the gel to soak for longer. Use a TGB Cuticle Pusher to remove the remaining gel. Make sure you support the client’s natural nail tip with your finger while removing the gel to avoid bending or snapping the nail.
• Lightly buff nails with a 100/180 grit buffer, and file nails into shape using a 220/240 grit file. Then apply TGB Cuticle Essence to replenish the moisture in the nail.
